This blog is for reminiscences of that particular piece of school uniform know as regulation school knickers, in particular those worn from the 50's through to the 70's when they were replaced by flimsy nylon briefs which were only worn for games and then covered with a "games" skirt.
Most schoolgirls of that period will remember the embarrassment (and in cold weather the discomfort) of standing on a hockey pitch in just a short sleeve games blouse and a pair of regulation knickers.
